Hi Karen,
I was just wondering if there was any way to watch the 20/20 full episode ? I am definitely interested in your book as well. My Dad was in Kathy’s class when this happened. He told me about it when I was a teen (I am 30 now) but I remember thinking that it seemed un real that something so devastating could happen in Franklin, especially 20+ years before I heard about it. My whole family isfrom Franklin, and I have been told so many interesting stories about Franklin by my granfather, that hearing her story was and still is very chilling to me. Any way the point of me telling you all of that was to let you know that what happpened to your sister was felt by many, including classmates like my Dad who told me the story even years later. My prayers are with you. I am sorry for the loss and devastation your family has endured over these 40 years. My prayers are with you. I truly hope that you will find the answers you are looking for!! God Bless.

Karen,
Thank you for emailing me. I am always interested in hearing stories such as this. I know for a fact that many in the town of Franklin suffered along with us after Kathy’s murder. It robbed the innocense of so many, mine included. I do know that Kathy’s classmates hurt deeply when they lost her in such a brutal way. We were not offered the counseling back then as they have in schools now. Tell your dad that any stories he remembers about Kathy are treasures to me. Many knew her differently as I did being a sister. I hope in the next book to put some pages of memories that her classmates had of her.
At the signing in Franklin, I will also be speaking and encourage her classmates to come out. Thank you for your kind words and thank your dad for me too.
There is not a way to watch the full 20/20 episode online, just what I have links to. We were hoping they would show the episode again this October but we have not heard any news on ABC doing that. If they ever do, I will post it online.
Though life is often difficult, we must never give up! I am thankful to God for all that He’s done in my life.
Again, thank you for contacting me.
Karen
