I received news from Tate Publishing that A Child Is Missing-Searching for Justice has been accepted for publication. This means I now enter Tate’s publication schedule. Writing a profile, dedication, acknowledgements, note to the reader, working on the book cover and back are some of the extras on top of writing involved. Preparing for more than three years to write the sequel to A Child is Missing has been worth it. I feel the information I’ve obtained will shed light on what really happened to Kathy that November night more than forty years ago. Though difficult to write I believe it will be the only justice Kathy will receive on this side of heaven.
Depending on God’s guidance,
Karen

A Child Is Missing exposes the reality that murder follows a family throughout their entire life. Future events often loop back to the day when a loved one's life was taken by the hands of a murderer.
Karen's sister Kathy was murdered in 1971. The case was reactivated in 1983 and again in 2004. In 2006 Kathy's remains were exhumed for DNA. A Child is Missing: Searching for Justice is the sequel to A Child Is Missing, it covers the reopening of Kathy's investigation in 2004 to present date. Karen interviewed over fifty people for the sequel and acquired new information from retired investigators.

Thanks Deanna, I want the truth and for people to see hope in their future. I’d like the books to be teaching tools for law enforcement and victim’s advocates.

Carolee, your kind words are a blessing. Today I prepare to speak to a group of detectives in Ohio on unsolved murders and the importance of not giving up. These detectives are our lifeline to solvability.
To His glory,
Karen
