I am saddened by the news that Krista’s body has been found. Her precious little one’s life was spared but she will never know the mom she deserved to spend a lifetime with. It is times like this when my faith is tested and I must remember that God is not the author of evil, man is.
I pray it will not be long before an arrest is made. I pray for the family and friends who will suffer from this great loss. I also pray for law enforcement who see such evil and for victims’ rights advocates who will guide and be a light to the family in the days ahead.

A Child Is Missing exposes the reality that murder follows a family throughout their entire life. Future events often loop back to the day when a loved one's life was taken by the hands of a murderer.
Karen's sister Kathy was murdered in 1971. The case was reactivated in 1983 and again in 2004. In 2006 Kathy's remains were exhumed for DNA. A Child is Missing: Searching for Justice is the sequel to A Child Is Missing, it covers the reopening of Kathy's investigation in 2004 to present date. Karen interviewed over fifty people for the sequel and acquired new information from retired investigators.

Beautifully written! In times of trials it can be difficult to remember God is a loving and just God, not evil. I wasted too many years following my sister’s kidnapping angry at God…thank goodness I made it through that stage. I will be joining you in prayer for her daughter, the family, law enforcement and all the advocates! Your blog is great!

Dear Lisa,
I’m sorry about the kidnapping of your sister, how sad. So many families face terrifying situations which emphasize how crazy it is out there. This world is unstable and at times seems downright mad. For me, God is my stability, never changing, always there when others are not. A Child Is Missing is about Kathy’s murder, the investigation, and the journey. My faith is my foundation, I hope God always gets the glory.
Take care and press on,
Karen
