UPDATE ON AIRING
The date that we’ve been given for Kathy’s story to be aired is on Friday night, October 30th at 10:00 pm on ABC. I hope all of you will watch. The 20/20 crew has put a tremendous amount of time in filming, interviewing and producing this show and I and my family are so grateful for what they’ve done. We anticipate the results of all the time spent on getting Kathy’s story out and hope for more information to be given to authorities or Tom Shamshak through people who see this show. Hopefully some memories will be stirred and new information will be brought forth.

A Child Is Missing exposes the reality that murder follows a family throughout their entire life. Future events often loop back to the day when a loved one's life was taken by the hands of a murderer.
Karen's sister Kathy was murdered in 1971. The case was reactivated in 1983 and again in 2004. In 2006 Kathy's remains were exhumed for DNA. A Child is Missing: Searching for Justice is the sequel to A Child Is Missing, it covers the reopening of Kathy's investigation in 2004 to present date. Karen interviewed over fifty people for the sequel and acquired new information from retired investigators.

Bobbi,
Thank you very much for your kindness. I hope you get the new information on the date that 20/20 is airing the story about Kathy. It surprised us that they back tracked and decided to do it this Friday. I’m trying to get the word out. I’m thinking of driving back to the restraurant to let you all know. If you get this message please let me know.
I hope that the show encourages your friend to never give up hope for justice for her mom. I am sorry to hear that she also has had to suffer, no one should ever have to go through such a terrible event in their life.
Take care,
Karen
